Objective
This project focuses on designing a mobile Flight Information Display System (FIDS) that communicates real-time flight data using clear typographic hierarchy and grid systems. The goal was to organize complex information into a readable, user-friendly format across multiple screens.
Research
Before beginning the project, I researched existing airport apps to evaluate effective design elements and identify areas for improvement. This analysis informed the development of my initial sketches and guided my overall design concept.

Sketches
After conducting research, I developed a series of preliminary sketches to explore initial concepts before transitioning into digital studies. This process provided a clear foundation and direction for the subsequent stages of the project. 
Digital Explorations
During my initial iterations, I explored two distinct concepts using different typefaces: Atkinson Hyperlegible and Interstate. Both fonts are known for their high legibility, particularly for individuals with visual impairments. Throughout the design process, I also prioritized accessibility by increasing the scale of both typographic and graphic elements to better accommodate users with disabilities.
Color Explorations
When incorporating color into my studies, I utilized variations of the primary color palette, red, yellow, and blue, with blue serving as the dominant hue. This approach helped establish a cohesive and structured visual system.
Final App Design
For the final app design, I refined my strongest concept by integrating consistent typography, accessible layouts, and a cohesive color system. I focused on enhancing usability by simplifying navigation, improving visual hierarchy, and ensuring readability across all screens. The final outcome reflects a balance between functionality and aesthetics, resulting in a clear, user-centered design that effectively communicates its purpose.
